Our other projects:

Infidels
Featuring all three Unmist members. Pop/Emo/HC/Metal...you decide.
Check out our all new website!

Stargun
Our drummer Lars' indie-pop orchestra.

Angora Static
HC/Screamo in the vein of Shotmaker etc. Features our guitarist/singer Øystein on bass.

Cab Suzuki
Our bassplayer does what he does best
in this stoner-space-rock-whatever outfit too.

The good stuff:

A4
Our old guitarist A4's site. He quit the band to focus on his art projects. It paid off - this is some of the coolest shit around.

Big Muff'68
Swing Metal. Need I say more?

Camaros
Full frontal assault in the name of Rock.

El Caco
Oh yeah.

Funguson
Fantastic Norwegian band, known for exceptionally catchy tunes in the genre of  "Unpolished Psychedelic Pop".

Insense
Definitely Norway's most exciting metal act.
Wear your helmet.

JR Ewing
If you're into HC, you got to check out JR Ewing.
Definitely one of the most amazing Norwegian live acts around.

Mogwai
The first proper gig we did with our old band was with these guys on their first visit to Norway in '97. A couple of years later we were happy to accept an offer to open up for this fantastic band again, this time with The Unmist.

Motorpsycho
Really good unofficial site of one of the most influential and important bands in Norway. After recording their first album in 1990 shitloads of releases has followed, paving the way for other underground bands such as ourselves.

Pacer/Safe in Santiago
Another brilliant group of Norwegians we have done a couple of gigs with...static, spastic and strange, but hey...it's great!

Piker Ryan/Kundera
Our friend, drinking companion and hitman in New York City.
He gets the job done.

Plywood
Our new label mates. Good shit.

Quickspace
Really nice people, making really nice music.

Rumble In Rhodos
New brilliant band from our neighborhood.

Trashcan Darlings
Where's my lipstick?

Trail of Dead
There's more to Texas than Walker, Texas Ranger. We were lucky enough to get to open up for these crazy Texans a couple of years ago...and it totally blew us away!

Urusei Yatsura
Another amazing Glasgow-based group we had the honor of doing a show with when we were doing our Jaded-thing.

Yonakit
It seems like anything coming out of Halden is destined to be good.

Labels:

Bubblesound
Bubblesound is taking care of business for The Unmist these days.

Black Balloon
New exciting Norwegian label featuring El Caco, Camaros, We and Lowdown.

Garralda Rec
This used to be our label when we were in The Jaded.
Run by Cato Salsa Experience-bass player Francis Moon.

Racing Junior
In cooperation with Switch Off Records they released "Everybody knows this is Norway - A tribute to Neil Young" which features The Unmist and other Norwegian bands deep down from the underground.

Smalltown Supersound
The Unmist's old label. Released our debut.

Festivals/Zines/Misc.:

SlagenDagen
Great summer festival, held on the backyard lawn of our friend Henning's house, 150 yards from the beach in sunny Norway. We appeared there in 1999, performing both with The Jaded and The Unmist. Henning is also the man behind the Neil Young-tribute.

Øyafestivalen
Another good summer festival in Oslo.

Catchphraze Records/Catalyst Distribution
Punk/hardcore label/distro in The US, also doing their share to make this messy planet a better place for every one of us.
They have been working for years with the release of "No more barriers - A compilation to support world solidarity", featuring bands from all over the world. This includes Norwegian four-piece Brent Barn who shares their bass player with The Unmist.

Eclipse Records
US-based on-line record store/mail order.
Our debut album is still in their catalog, even though it is sold out from the label, so if you're lucky you still might get hold of it.

Chunky Records Online
Chunky Records, operating from the UK also have our debut in their files.

Puls
Old as hell Norwegian music zine.

Buddyhead
Good webzine. All you need to know about the music that matter.

TheKindaMuzikYouLike
Another really good webzine based in The Netherlands.

The Green Dolphin's Poll
Post rock/indie archive featuring amongst many others The Unmist.

Panorama
Norwegian webzine covering many different genres of music.

Big Dipper Records
If you happen to be in Oslo, this is a really nice and friendly record store worth stopping by. Both new and second hand CDs and vinyl to an affordable price. You might even get a cup of coffee for free! Also runs a mail order service.

SoWhat!
I wonder how the Norwegian rock-scene would have been like if not SoWhat! had excisted? Many a new band have made their first, insecure steps on to a stage in this club, including us.
Nice place to sit/fall down for a beer too. Well, not anymore, sadly, they closed down in October 2003.

Mono
Another beer hole. We fall down here a lot too.

We will keep adding links to this page in the future, so if you feel we're missing out on something...please let us know!
